When your marketing budget has been devoured.

What a croc!What a croc!

A great find from Mental Floss. This was a PR campaign by Neunkirchen Zoo. The street team just walked around like this passing out flyers that said “Come to the Zoo before the Zoo comes to you. Other than the gator duds this is a pretty inexpensive way to let people know about who you are. I bet there was a lot of buzz. They seemingly increased attendance by 15% with this little run.

Sure it’s only informational and not a lot of serving or meeting community needs but is there anything the church could learn from a campaign like this? From a purely marketing standpoint, when you have few people and no money it seems that a little creativity and time can close the gap. What are your thoughts.
