Today was a good day. I don’t have a lot to say about it but here are a few things that I did want to mention.
It can be discouraging when most of your praise & worship team are college students. When classes are on break so is your team. Today however was not discouraging in the least. Myk did a wonderful job leading the music, he usually does but the highlight today was his wonderful wife, Julie, singing with him. She has a wonderful voice and did and amazing job. I am looking forward to her singing a lot more often.
I just got back a short while ago from the last Habitat for Humanity dedication of the year. We gave the family, whose house we helped with, a basket of cleaning supplies and items that you don’t think of until it’s to late. A few thoughts on that…
- I am really grateful for Jenny & Clark for heading up the organization and purchasing of the gift basket. They not only put together a great basket but did it far under budget.
- Habitat for Humanity built 6 homes this year in Cleveland, TN and next year have plans to build 7 more. I am excited to announce they we are planning on supplying gift baskets to all seven families. This really isn’t much but we believe that we need to start somewhere.
That is it for now. See you tomorrow.
